Today was such a drag.I wasnt looking forward to today honestly speaking.I've never fancied F&B and the thought of me serving strangers are most definately not appealing in all areas that you can think of.Not just normal serving,it was silver service. And let me add this,it wasnt as easy as I thought it'd be.And I thought serving silver style was hard, try pronoucing the menu.It was:
+ Soupe a la Nion or something for appetizer which means Onion soup.
+ poisson saute meuniere servi avec pommes cheteau et le'gumes frais which means saute'ed fish with meuniere sauce along with cheteau potatoes and fresh vegetables.(If you're wondering what's meuniere sauce is,its basically a sauce made of butter, lemon and parsley.Cheteau potatoes means turn potatoes and turning potatoes aint easy!)
Paris Brest or cream puff with paraline cream for dessert.
Try pronoucing all that while serving. And not only for serving,Chef Patrick wanted everyone to fire in French,so we did.We sucked, but we did.ahah.
It was such a relief that my guests was kind and patient.I served 3 pax only.Thank god.Alvin all sure took a long time to prepare the main course. They took about 20 mins when they can prepare it for 10 mins.I know coz I cooked lastweek. And when the food was ready, they told me they gave my platter to Calvin. So I had to take his and serve.Bleargh.Silver service aint easy man esp when Mr Suhaimi sat at your guest's table and pretended to be one and asked so many questions. My guests rocked. They were super cool.I dont know their names but I will always remember them. They said I look like Karen Mok.Can you believe them?aahah..
Back home..
Found out that we might not be going back to T'ganu.I was happy to hear that coz I dont wanna skip any classes. And the idea of travelling 8 hours by car is not appealing to me.K.zz's baby position requires her to have an operation. Most probably the night before raya.Again.I'm looking forward to meet my newborn niece/nephew.He/she'll be awesome.I know it.
